Evil is right and most Dictators use intimidation and fear to remain in power and make people work for them. Those they feel do not work for them are killed or imprisoned for a long time. So this does not surprise me.

No, and catering to dictators only emboldens them to do worse. Had the French and British stood up to Hitler in the very beginning they could have averted WW 2. But at every turn they chose appeasement and diplomacy over the possibility of war. Sure, they were war weary after WW I, but that ked them right down the path to WW 2. There were so many opportunities to stop Hitler.

Now, we are facing the same scenario with this lunatic. Letting him get a nuke and the ability to mount it on a missile that could reach the US would be like the British and French allowing Hitler to occupy the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia and then declaring "Peace in our time" only to have to face a stronger enemy a year down the road.

No, dictators need to be stopped. Evil dictators, like this nut, needs to be eliminated.

I was watching a CNN documentary about North Korea and while a journalist was interviewing several children the following was said (Not quoted):

* Kim Jong Un has more love for him (Child saying this) than his own parents.

* Americans have big noses, hairy chests and ugly, but they have not actually seen an American

* Who is the enemy? Americans.

When the reporter, a clean cut guy, said he was an American they changed their tone. The children there are beyond brain washed. Imagine a US child saying Donald Trump has more love for him than his own parents - craziness.

Yes, and it's a whole society like that. Whether they say it out of fear or because they believe it is immaterial. I'm sure it's a bit of both anyway. This family (Grandfather, father, and son) has managed to create such an atmosphere of fear and paranoia that no one feels safe and everyone kowtows to the nut. This is just like the novel 1984, except it isn't fiction.

Why hasn't assassination worked or been attempted? Seems like a drone should be able to do its job against Kim and his cohorts.

It's illegal for the US to assassinate another world leader unless we are at war. And, although we are technically at war with North Korea there is a cease fire in effect.

That is funny and yes, you are correct. But, as porous as our nation's ability to keep secrets has become is if we have anything to do with it it'll leak out and then there'll be investigations, and railing by the media, screaming in Congress, and impeachment talk everywhere.
