Conscience
This Thread will be used to examine the Mormon interpretation for the word / name called "Conscience" from the scriptures. What does Conscience mean in the literal sense and in scripture?
I see conscience as light, the Light of Christ. It is what we instinctively use to judge between good and bad. It is found in every person that enters the world.
It is very possible for any person lose all sense of their conscience, to have it suppressed to a point where they are incapable of feeling it. This is how evil people can do so many things and still live with it, they can also get to a point where it makes them happy or at least they think it dose.
This can also come about by many forms one that is very common is the 'traditions of their Fathers".
Using Abinadi's concept, if the Light of Christ is ones conscience then why is the only one thing that can save taken away from children? This gives them no hope from the start. (See more here: Source 3 so as to not deviate from this Topic)
