[Medieval] SCENARIO I, 'The Scroll' - Page 4

The Game Master says...

You stand there and it seems like an eternity. The strangers stand still too, only the ox's tail sways back and forth over its' back and hind legs.

You are starting to perspire and you know you need to make a decision fast as your group is looking like the odd one...

Scroll The I SCENARIO Medieval

The Game Master says...

Medusa gestures for Nick to move ahead and approach the strangers, Medusa follows, and Amaris makes like steps but with a lot of apprehension. You pull out your weapons at the same time to have them ready, this action causes the hooded stranger next to the ox to jerk a bit and then dive to left. While the four figures around the wagon reveal their swords hidden underneath their cloaks. The fifth, you are unaware of at the moment.

Your attention is now directed to the wagon itself as a figure that was once lying down hidden under the cloth cover is now rising quickly with a crossbow in his hand. He uses it to fire two quick shots at Nick. One of the bolts coming from the crossbow goes by Nick's right arm so close it grazes his skin, but does not hurt him. The other deals a deadly blow to his body, hitting his upper pectorial.

Nick yells in pain, but you are unsure if it is not mixed with anger too as he lunges forward with great speed to swipe at his aggressor. Moving quickly around the ox he swings but misses terribly as the crossbowman moves backward in equal speed. The first hooded stranger now reveals his sword and attacks Medusa with one piercing blow to her heart, the tip of the sword going right through Medusa's body and appearing in her back and that causes blood to gush from her mouth. Medus dies.

Amaris is attacked by two of the hooded strangers who are able to work on her surprise and swing their swords first before Amaris could get her weapon up. The first blow is fatal and the second blow merely throws Amaris to the ground. Amaris is dead.

Nick spins around to see himself left surrounded. Being full of anger towards the crossbowman Nick uses the ox as a step and raises himself up to the wagon where he lunges once again towards the crossbowman in a skilled movement that leaves the crossbowman dead on the back of the wagon, his face looking towards the ski. Nick is hot, his blood very close to his skin, his eyes are red with fury, but he can tell there is something under the cloth where he stands, he does not know what it is as he has such little time to think. "Arggggggg" yeslls Nick as cold steel cuts through his calves and it causes him to fall in pain. A cloaked stranger jumps on the wagon to finish the job. Nick is dead.

GM: All of you are dead. This scenario is now over. You will need to create characters once again through the same process. Remember, the things you learnt here and plan to suit.
