[Future Earth] Scenario I - Page 3

The Game Master says...

Bloody, Labrat and Mystic decided to let the Stranger go because their interference with him again for the night will be not welcomed in a good manner and it will cause even more issues since th Stranger seems like a very smart and perceptive person. Everyone goes to their respective homes.

The Next Night...

You return to the club in the evening. While talking with each other you all relate a strange occurence... you all felt that you were being watched as you walked home. You are surprised by this and at the same time feel cold chills against your spine. You wonder if this has anything to do with the Stranger. Oh yes, the Stranger! You start to look around the club, especially near the table he usually sits at, but you see no sign of him. You stand around, the music is pumping, laser lights are flashing and disco fog is building up - looks like a usual night at the club except for you three. You begin to think of what you should do next.

GM: It is now 10pm, say what you want to do.

I Scenario Earth Future

The Game Master says...

You wait around awhile. An old boyfriend of Mystic greets her and they begin active conversation and gradually wonder to the dance floor, then for a drink, then for more talk and you begin to see Mystic's fondness for old love. Afterawhile Mystic comes over to where you are seated and explains how she has developed a bad headache and needs to go home. She says there is no need to leave as her boyfriend will escort her and she winks.

GM: Mystic is no longer in current game.

Meanwhile you await your 'stranger'. At 11pm he walks in and takes his usual spot in the club. You can tell he is aware of everything despite his statue like appearance. You decide your next approach to him.

GM: Say what you will do now.

The Game Master says...

Bloody approaches slowly to the table of the Stranger with a soft smile on her face, she tries to look at the Stranger's eyes and says...

"Hi, it's me, Bloody. Do you remember me? I spilled your drink the other day. What's your name by the way?"

The Stranger says nothing, but Bloody continues...

"Let me buy you a drink and we can chat a little bit and I don't accept a no for an answer", she says this while she winks at him.

The Stranger does not look up nor seems to care. This makes Bloody feel very uncomfortable and she wonders why they even try. Then without prompt the Stranger raises his hand to the top of the table and in a sweeping motion turns his hand to show his palm and extends to you a seat. He motions to Labrat to do the same.

You are glad that you have finally 'broken the ice'. You nervously sit.

The Stranger says,

"You have been following me for quite some time now and you seem innocent in your cause. What is it you want?"

GM: Say what you will do now.

The Game Master says...

Bloody and Labrat are surprised by the Stranger's invitation but they quickly start thinking in questions to ask him. Labrat starts here mini interrogation:

"Hi, my name is LabRat, nice to meet you. Yeah, we are definately not out for any trouble. Just curious. We would like to be friends maybe. You aren't from around here are you?"

Stranger: "No"

Where are you from?"

Stranger: "A distant land."

Where did you get that hat?

Stranger: "A shop on your world."

How do you move so quickly?

Stranger: "I am able to do many things quickly"

How is it you know so much about us and... Did someone follow each of us home the other night?

Stranger: "I know many things, but I am not omnipotent that I should know your where abouts of the other night."

Then Bloody introduces herself...

"Hi, my name is Bloody and I have been observing you for quiet a while and because the other day I saw you moving so fast, I knew you was 'different' so I want to get to know you more, you seem like a Stranger in this city. We are pretty familiar with it and maybe we can help each other somehow?"

Stranger: "In what way? What is it you want?"

Where are you from?

Stranger: "Like i told your friend, a distant land."

Why you are not a social person? and what do you do for a living?

Stranger: "I am to be social with beings that follow me, devise plans to throw their drink on me and then interrogate me with questions?"

Then Bloody looks at him straight into his eyes and says,

"Listen, I know we can help each other, just tells us who you are."

Stranger: "I have told you enough, it is you that needs to tell me what you want."

You notice that the Stranger answers every question quickly and without thought, almost like he was expecting your question before you asked it. Seeing the situation as it now stands you think about if you were the Stranger and how it would feel to be followed. At the same time you notice he seems unshaken by your presence.

GM: Say what you will do now.

I Scenario Earth Future

The Game Master says...

Labrat says, "We don't want anything. But, I think you already know that. You seem to know stuff before it happens. Look, we were just out for a little adventure that's all. The question about who you were just kind of provided us some innocent fun and a diversion. No big deal. Certainly didn't mean to offend you."

Then Bloody says in a very soft tone "I'm so sorry, we didn't mean to offend you. We just saw you're not from this world and we just wanted to be friends, to get to know you better. I know is not easy to be in a new world. What do you say? We erase everything and start over?",

she says while she winks and then continues...

"We would love to show you around, what do you say?"

The Stranger looks at you all with piercing eyes, he seems to be almost in a trance for a couple of seconds them he says,

"I do not get offended, I have no time for that, I however do see your desire for action, but the question will be if you can handle it?"

He then pauses and leans into the table and asks,

"Have you ever assassinated anyone?"

GM: Say what you will do now and if you will accept or reject the next likely question.

[Future Earth] Scenario I

The Game Master says...

"We have been involved in a lot of interesting and dangerous things in our lives. Why do you ask? Need a favour?"

The Stranger pauses for what seems to be a long time, but it is only a few seconds...

"Hmmm... seems to me that you need to be honest if you are to converse with me."

Then with fast motion he grabs Bloody's hand and turns it over to reveal the soft palm, the Stranger looks up and says...

"You have not seen much work nor saw my hand coming, how can it be that you have experience?"

He then leans back in his chair, takes his glass from off the table and with cautious motion sips on it.

GM: Say what you will do now.

The Game Master says...

LabRat says, "I am a scientist. I have been involved in a lot of intriguing cases, but I haven't personally been the trigger man or actually directly killed anyone myself. Now, why do you ask such a question?"

Bloody then pauses, looking at the Stranger cautiously and says, "The most effective assassins have always soft and 'clean' hands when they know what they're doing."

Then she shakes her head and says with a concern face "What kind of job you need to be done?"

The stranger raises the edge of his lips just enough to see him smirk. After a pause he leans forward and says, "So, you are assassins."

He takes another sip and then continues...

"Well I see that you are willing. I may have several missions for you, but the first involves a person that needs to be terminated."

He then leans back.

"It is in a public area, aboard a shuttle, it matters not to me if you are caught or not, but your assignment must be fulfilled."

He then leans forward and uses his hands in a suave gesturing motion to express a point...

"I do not accept failure, you should be able to come up with a plan so that you are not caught, if you are as experienced as you say you are then it should be a simple thing."

He leans back.

"Do you accept, let's say... 10,000 credits?"

GM: Say what you will do now, and your terms if any.

The Game Master says...

Bloody looks at the Stranger and starts to ask many questions.

She then pauses and says, "Listen, you will not be dissapointed, we know what we are doing, but we have also terms to do the job."

The Stranger then chuckles under his breath and then without notice immediately becomes serious and asks...

"You come here to me and now you want to list terms?"

He then gestures with his hand to continue.

Bloody tells of her 'list' of terms...

GM: The response of each demand will be listed as 'Yes' or 'No' representing if he approves or not.

1. Scope out the place first before we commit, we need information such as where specifically, when and who is the person. No

2. Freedom of using the tools we consider necessarily and if location is not an important factor, then freedom to choose the proper location for the job. Yes

3. No children involved. Yes

4. No tricks of any kind. Yes

5. Half of the money now and half when the job is done. No

He then grins and becomes serious again. I will impart information and exact plans only if you agree to the job first. The plan has the exact location you must be in and the time. No children will be involved and I do not have time for tricks. Since you are new you will get your credits upon completion of the job.

GM: Say what you want to do now.
