Premium, Plus, Platinum & Diamond Membership

Q. What is Premium Membership?
A. Members that have made a donation based on the terms within the Contribution page so their account has been upgraded. There are other types of members who have upgraded: Plus, Platinum and Diamond.

Q. What do I get?
A. Loads of features, please check the Premium page for the latest.

Q. Is it a donation or am I paying for it?
A. You are making a donation and we are just saying 'thanks' by giving you 'Premium' status.

Q. Is the donation a set amount?
A. Yes and No. If you want Premium status then it must be anything over 'x' dollars as specified on the Premium page, but anyone is free to donate any amount - $5, $10, etc. There have been members that have even donated more than $100 here before the Premium status was even invented.

Q. One of the perks is that you can post twice in a row, if discussion is dormant. What constitutes a discussion being dormant? Also, is twice in a row the limit?
A. Dormant means that no one has posted a reply in a few days, as in all things, use good judgement, but posting to the same thread everyday with no one else replying is a bit too much. As for posting a third time - it will fall into the same bracket as above - so you would post, wait a few days, post again, wait a few days and so on. Also, each follow-up post you make should be something relevant - in other words you should not reply just to rant or 'bump' the thread so that your post can seem active. Lastly, if a post is not getting responses it means no one is either interested or knowledgeable about the subject so leave it be.

Q. What is the difference between Premium Membership and Premium Plus Membership?
A. Premium Plus Membership has more features than Premium Membership.

Q. Can I upgrade my account from Premium to Plus?
A. Yes, but you will have to pay the full amount unless your upgrade is within 30 days of paying for the Premium Membership then you will just have to pay the difference.

Q. Can I make suggestions for things I would like to see on the Premium Plus page?
A. Yes, we have a feedback section or use the contact page.

Q. What is the purpose of the above button?
A. You will see this button or similar to it on each thread you visit. This function is for Premium Plus Members, it allows them to add a thread to a special page that they can track. They can even make it accessible to the public so that others can see the type of messages they are most interested in. Users that like to discuss certain ideals will especially like this.

Q. How do I see my Favorites?
A. In the menu bar where you access your profile you should see the words 'Fav!', click on this to open the page.

Q. What does it mean to Send a Custom E-Card?
A. Think it is over? Nope! Premium Plus users can now send E-Cards to their friends and family. (Still in testing phase and soon to be completed) You create a card using set pictures, text and then send your own little note - the user you list gets your fancy message.

Q. Can I make a series of small donations and then have it add up to a Premium Membership?
A. No, Premium or Plus membership must be the amount or over in ONE donation, but you do get rewarded for anything over US$5, usually in the value of FP as set by the Contribute page.

Q. I had some things I was working with it in my upgraded membership that I do not have now that it is expired, how can I get access to just those?
A. Upgrade again

Q. I had some FP in the bank, but my membership expired, can you get that FP out for me?
A. No, either do it BEFORE your membership expires or upgrade again.

Q. Can I upgrade for just a few more months... such as an extension?
A. Only if you are currently upgraded and only for special circumstances.

Premium, Plus, Platinum & Diamond Membership

Q. I do not understand why Platinum is only for six months, why is that?
A. If we asked for a yearly donation then it might be too much to donate all at one. Having the contribution made every six months makes it easier.

Q. How do I get a Diamond Membership?
A. Diamond members are simply enhanced Platinum members that have contributed for a certain amount of time (see the Compare page for details).

Q, Why do Diamond members get so much FP?
A. It is a show of our appreciation for their long standing contribution to the Community.
