Comments: There was a part of the Matrix movie, I think it was the first one where they unplugged them in the real world and they die in the matrix and in the real world. My question is why don't they just come back to life after unplugging them?

The Matrix works by electrical power and I bet the sensations you get to your brain are also fueled that way so if you die its like an overwhelming electrical shock.

I agree with JB and I think you have a good point there too Runic but wouldn't an electrical shock cause the body to vibrate rather than just go lymph?

If it was sustained yes but if it was aimed at the brain which is what being plugged in is because its connected directly to your spinal chord then a small shock could basically shut down the brain.
