Avan listens closely to the movements of the startled and fleeing prey. By this he knows the targets location and catches a glimpse of him threw the undergrowth. Instinctively the rouge understands the next move by listening and gauging the pirates direction.

Avan's arrow zips out threw the foliage. He hears a grunt, a thud, then a few groans followed by silence.

Asthelion hears some noises from the woods but decides to wait by the unconscious pirate for his comrade instead of going to look for him. The rogue also rifles through anything else of the pirates that might seem significant. As he does so he begins to whistle a tune he picked up on his travels.

Avan cautiously approaches his quarry, bow ready. He crouches above his target, inspecting for a few seconds before removing the pirate's weapons and starting to drag him towards the pyre.

Avan stands above the dead pirate, he is certainly dead. Making a search of him Avan finds a half whittled figurine/hand axe/3 daggers/11 gold/ and short sword. He also finds a 50' coil of ro regular rope laying next to a bush. Avan drags the body back to the pyre having a few snags, he gets there.

Asthelion searches his pirate and finds a silver necklace with 5 blue gems/a large bottle of clear liquid/2 daggers/ a scimitar/ and 4 silver.

The first pirate comes back to the world as Avan is about half-way to the pyre. The pirate sees his comrade being dragged towards him and begins to panic. He struggles a bit with the bindings then starts to sprint towards the woods, trying to yell.

Asthelion watches the pirate get up and run off as he is rifling through materials. He stands up and continues to watch as Avan comes to where he is standing, dragging a limp body behind him and some rope.

"Well that rope could've been helpful about two minutes ago", Asthelion comments as he stares at the fleeing pirate, then he takes off after him in a dead sprint cursing, not for the first time, his lack of preparation and the weakness of fabric binds.

As he runs he will draw out his bow and reach for an arrow but not load the bow yet.

"Not being noticed is more important!" says Avan, dropping the body and reaching straight for his bow.
He fires once at the fleeing pirate.

"Go grab him!"

Asthelion soon catches up with the disorientated pirate. The stress of being knocked on the head, bound, panic from seeing his dead buddy, and gag on the mouth severely limited his ability to breathe. After only 15 feet or so the Jeffrey trips over some sand and plummets to the ground. He is exhausted and unable to regain his footing. He just groans, rolling over to gasp for air.

GM Note: The pirate fell just as Asthelion was pulling his bow. The pirate lays 5 feet in front of Asthelion. Avan had also just pulled out his bow and has not fired an arrow yet.
