I don't feel what he said should make anyone angry. He was just stating the facts and wanted to bring awareness to it. People in that community should rally around their young men and let them know that they don't need to go fight in the Middle East no matter what they offer. Of course there needs to be incentives to stay here too, so the government should come up with something.

A major police operation was under way Monday morning in Sydney in response to a reported hostage situation.

CNN affiliate Seven Network said that hostages are being held at the Lindt Chocolate Cafe.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott told reporters Monday that authorities do not know the motivation of the person responsible for the ongoing hostage situation in Sydney.

"We don't know whether this is politically motivated, although obviously there are some indications that it could be," He said.

The man who has held hostages in a Sydney, Australia, cafe for nearly 16 hours is Man Haron Monis, an official with direct knowledge of the situation said today.

He's also known as Sheikh Haron, a self-styled Muslim cleric, who pleaded guilty last year to writing offensive letters to the families of Australian service members, Australian media said.

For that, he received 300 hours of community service, the Weekend Australian reported. Ref. CNN
