Warhammer is the most unforgiving and brutal system I've played. My Grey Wizard received multiple garish scars (Effects his main stat) within two sessions. Luckily, they're good at illusions so he just maintained a constant illusion over himself of him without the scars.
Most of my spells (I'm kicking around final selections - I plan all characters out to 30) are going to be buffs to help the party. Those that aren't will be utility spells or debuff spells. I totally agree, the Summoner really is a versatile class.
I would like the hexagon grid, mainly because it would give me a better handle on where things are and assist in determining travel times so I won't have to ask about them if it becomes necessary. It's great that they provide tools such as this - it seems like it would make the Dungeon Master's life a little easier. I assume they have a completed map in the Dungeon Master's version instead of just the blank grid too. If you want, you could take the hex grid from the player's guide and scan it on top of your version, then remove the blank hexes as we explore!
Technically yes, I quickly rolled for Theaton and got him a 20 total, which is enough for him to know the information the player wrote. It's nothing specific about its abilities either, which is okay I guess.
I'm not sure about owlbears specifically, since they are such a ubiquitous beast in Dungeons & Dragons (And hence Pathfinder). So I don't mind player knowledge so much for this specific creature. Creatures like dragons and lycanthropes are fair game too, since the ordinary townsfolk would know a few things (And some misinformation too). Rarer creatures (Like Tatzlwyrms, uncommon demons, etc.) have to be properly identified.
So, Archival knows that their vision is excellent, far above that of either a bear or owl, and can see in the dark much like an owl, but isn't dazzled by sunlight. Theaton knows they are strong a though beasts.
So it looks like combat is starting, if you are able to quickly add a combat action, I'll update.
I'll get the hexes added on Monday I think. I'll Probably go with a minimal design such as the corners of the hexagons only.
Good stuff! They certainly are iconic. I don't think I've had a game where I didn't run into them. On the D20 PFSRD it gives Knowledge Arcana DC's and results if you're interested - from what I see, the Bestiary on there is really good. Sorry I didn't see you post until now, I've been playing League of Legends with some buddies. I'll post after my current game.
For some reason I have a composite crossbow that is why I did not use it, maybe I forgot and got mixed up somehow? So its a composite bow which would give me a +3 on damage right?
I don't know where that could have come from, there is no such item. I know Zork received a Masterwork Longbow on page 84 and bought a composite bow recently (Page 120), but whether the composite bow was long or short remained unspecified (Since it wasn't paid in full).
The composite shortbow [+3] will do 1d6+3 damage or the composite longbow [+3] will do 1d8+3.
I think I got mixed up with all the games I'm in, sorry about that. I can't even remember not fully paying off for it, that's weird since Zork does have a lot of coin now. How much did I owe? So shall I take a long bow?
