Umm, you may have to rethink your plan as the curtain is only about one foot by a foot and a half and sized for a head.
To enter the room, you will have to go to the end of the corridor and take a right. This will also expose you to whatever is to the left at the end of this hallway.
Delgar motions to thane to come back towards the group after he discovers the curtain " perhaps we should just sneak by them if we can and find them later on in the tunnel "
Out of Character: : I'm having some trouble getting the character sheet updated. But so you know I spent 200 gp on banded mail, 50 gp on a heavy crossbow, 4gp on 20 heavy quarrels.
In Character:
"How about we carefully lift the cloth and use the hole for what its made for and get some shots off with our bows. With a couple of them wounded, we can charge in and attack."
"That is part of a good plan, I suggest Thane shoots through the hole while Delgar holds open the curtain, while the rest of us charge in so they can not get away. If we time it right the shots will occur just as 3 of us charge in. To block them from escaping down the hallway. But maybe before we start all this we should make sure no one else is in that immediate hallway to the left to ambush us?"
Out of Character: Oh, yes, rethink.
In Character: Thane wonders why someone would put an open space there unless an archer is supposed to be stationed there.
He hears Ardo but wonders if they are the enemy. He makes a suggestion to go past the hole quietly and get to their room with the same surprise plan.
You see that the corridor opens up into a larger room to the east and runs into another T intersection to the north. However, your certain that you can make it around the corner into this room without being detected and the noise that the three individual are making should mask any noise you make. It may even cover the sound of combat as long as the fight doesn't drag on too long.
Ardo is following the group, ready to take care of any bad situation that might arise, when the party goes into the room, if a fight occurs he will try to block the door so none can leave while throwing warhammers. If no fight breaks out he is watching the hallway to make sure no one comes to inspect the ruckus.
