Njall checks the filters on his mask before leaving the ship again, stows his laser pistol and armour in the locker, and fetches the radio transceivers.

"Doc, if you're minding the ship keep this by you. We'll run a test before I go.

Enerii, you want to set up a secure channel for us?"

When the comms are ready Njall joins the 'away team'.

"Let's see what amenities this place has to offer. Not a lot by the feel of it."

RPG Main Traveller Aericsteeles

This is Kanin, over...

Krakrefr's drone gets him the map data to the bridge. He downloads them to the sensors computer and start his analysis. His task is to find possible production sites and, if possible, to recognise access points and dangerous terrain around them. He prepares his smoking pipe and lights it. The pipe is made by some alien beast's bone, carved intricately with mythological Vargr features. A violet plume gets out of his nostrils and a heavy, but somewhat pleasant, smell covers the bridge.

The Referee relays...

Krakrefr spends most of the evening on 010-1115 going through the data and images of the world trying to locate facilities, he is at it until 0100hrs and manages to locate a half a dozen potential facilities that may produce the compound. The nearest facility is located near the city of Sula approximately 250 miles from the space port. Krakrefr is able to zoom in enough on the survey images to get a birds eye view of the facility but has no data detailing the interior layout. This facility is located in an urban area.

There is another facility that is more remote located approximately 600 miles from the space port and Krakrefr believes that it would be possible to intercept a convoy leaving this facility, but there is of course the issue of getting there undetected.

011-1115

Silvertongue walks through the metal detectors without his snub pistol setting off any alarms and not wearing any obvious body armor the guard gives him a once over but doesn't pull him to the side for a further search. Maiokus, Gaden and Njall are briefly patted down for weapons and then allowed through as well.

You find that your masks are unnecessary inside the terminal as the air is filtered. Outside the air is choked with smog that covers the island in a haze. Many of the world's industrial facilities are unregulated and produce heavy amounts pollution (Without a filter characters will suffer 1d6 damage per hour of exposure).

Locating the Merchant Liaison's Office you are able to purchase the services of a Liaison by the name of Nahi Gorain, a dark skinned man whose hair is beginning to go grey on the sides, and 'crows feet' on the corners of his eyes. He is dressed in fairly nice black suit and tie. Nahi is able to help you find a supplier for the chemical compound but he advises you that there is a bit of a snag. The nearest facility that supplies this chemical compound is in the middle of a war with its neighbor. The chemical that is produced is used in the creation of various serums, mostly used to treat infection brought on by wounds, and as a result there is no surplus, all of the chemical produced is being used by the host country.

Nahi pulls out a world map and flips through a large book that he takes down from a book shelf located at the Merchant's office. He flips the pages "No...not off world friendly..." He flips through several more pages "Civil war...they won't trade with you..."

After flipping through the book for several minutes Nahi is able to track down a supplier from another region, but it could take anywhere from one to four weeks for delivery to the space port. "You could go to the source facility to pick up the cargo, but it will still take several days to process all the approvals. Filling out and having a flight path approved, filing the proper requisition forms, that sort of thing takes time" he explains "And these facilities tend to be designed to accommodate shipping by ground vehicle, not 200 ton ships. Might be able to get you to a nearby airport but you'll be looking at fees for landing there."

"I'm telling you this right now as well" his tone turning serious "You've had eyes on you since you landed. That cargo you brought in, its ear marked for different destinations and I can almost guarantee that one of those destinations is to a country that is at war with another country. Just by setting down here and delivering the freight you are going to be seen as aiding or supplying someones enemy. Wont be long and you'll have a target on your back. Keep a close eye on your ship too; it's not unheard of for agents to plant bombs on off worlder ships. You made a wise decision by hiring a Liaison; this office will keep tabs on any paperwork filed in regards to your vessel. A couple of weeks back there was a merchant vessel that came through and delivered food stuffs to a country that was on good terms with the Coalition a week before they arrived but the day before they arrived relations soured and the crew was arrested for supplying a nation considered hostile to the Coalition. As far as I know they are still in custody and the way the legal system works here...off worlders have almost no rights under the law.

Our office can keep an eye out for this sort of thing, file paperwork to delay any negative actions, and give you warning of potential issues. Now you've got a couple of options regarding my services. I can escort you throughout the terminal and to whatever destination you want to go to and advise you on customs or I can work on trying to figure out where your cargo went and what potential enemies you may have made."
