The Referee relays... Silvertongue
You are able to find a couple of scientific articles that reference Dr. Allen Crane, primarily referring to his attempts to develop a "Fountain of Youth" serum, a task that many of his counterparts seem critical of. There are a few records showing Dr. Crane being employed by various companies and mega corporations as a researcher but none of the available records give much in the way of specifics. The overall impression is that Dr. Crane is seen by some in the scientfic community as an eccentric, if he is recognized at all. Most have never heard of him, and he is not known for any real significant contributions to the field.
The chemical compound he refers to can be used for a wide variety of purposed but is not readily available; aside fro Ruie, the nearest source of the material is more than a subsector away. It may be used primarily in combination with other chemicals in labs but what you can find regarding it suggests that many labs use alternate solutions/chemicals due to the rarity of this particular compound.

You purchase the autodoc (Subtract 48,000cr.) and Karmina informs you that basic medical supplies come with the unit which will be delivered to your ship.
Njall
Buying all of the kits together you manage to convince them to sell them to you at a discount and can obtain all five kits for 3,750Cr. Instead of the normal 5,000Cr. However they do charge 50Cr. Delivery fee (Each kit wieghs 12kg or approximately 26lbs)
The base cost for a repair robot is 10,000Cr. Which you are able to negotiate down to 9,000Cr. Which includes a specialized computer that runs Intellect/1 and Expert Mechanic/2 though it can be modified to run Expert Engineer (Any) rather than Expert Mechanic. "Expert programs mimic skills." Level 1 programs cost 1,000cr. Level 2 cost 10,000cr and level 3 cost 100,000cr. Keep in mind though that the computer on the robot is Specialized/1 which means that, though it can run its specialized program (Mechanic or engineer) at level 2 or 3 if you purchased it; any program that it is not specialized in cannot operate above level 1.
The repair robot in this case is actually a series of small crab-shaped machines that carry a variety of welding and cutting tools and they are jacked into the shipboard computer system.
Maiokus
An auto pistol will cost 300cr. 3 magazines will cost a total of 45cr. And the ACR magazines will cost a total of 67cr. Flak jacket is 450cr. Unlike dealing with a robot salesman weapons and armor have set prices and you cannot negotiate a lower price in this case. For all of these items the total would be 862Cr.

In Character: Silvertongue disconnects from the Net and heads out after Maiokus. Finding him in the Militech Mega Corp shop, "Got some more info. Need any credits?" He pulls from his pocket, the cred stick with 10K on it. "Use what you need from this."
Silvertongue heads back to oversee deliveries being made to the Wildstar. When he arrives, he directs the respective deliveries to the engineering bay and a the med bay. Then he waits on the rest of the crew to arrive back.

In Character: : The equipment is already purchased but thanks for the kind offer. I felt naked without atleast a pistol at my side. The rifle is too big and obvious to lug around everywhere.
Maiokus turns and begins walking with Silvertongue back to the ship.

In Character: "Remember a year or so ago, when we were running the Wildstar with a different crew? There was a scientist, Cavin Drevoy, who wanted us to go through the Shionthy Asteroid Belt so he could collect rare dust particles from this 2 million year old disintegrated comet?"
"Well 'Doctor' Crane is much worse. I think he grasping at straws and must be high on jet fuel exhaust. He is after material to construct the "Fountain of Youth." The stuff he is asking for is rare, rare like lots of money rare."
Note to Referee Silvertongue brokers information on the side, can he make an educated guess at the value of the wanted cargo. Something tells me its worth more and protected much better than was suggested.
