I am here to say welcome back to you Thomaslee. As I just recently got back I am glad to see a face long time not seen.

Welcome back Thomaslee, good to see you around again. You submitted an image to the gallery wanting to use it for your character, however the gallery is only for personal pictures and art. You can select a set avatar for your character via the Member Wars Role-playing Game board.

Soon, you will be able to specialize your character even more than what you can do now as they make chages to the Role-playing Game boards. For now you can use one of the in-house avatars and continue to build up your character, thanks for your patience.

JB, does donating still allow you to participate in the roleplay boards without first getting the activity requirements?

Thomaslee there is no activity requirement to participate in Role-playing Games. That was a system only used by me for the Role-playing Games I ran, however I have since retired. You can participate in any Role-playing Game you wish so long as the GM who is running it is open for more Players.

Ah, sorry for the confusion. That admittingly had been a stressful requirement the last time I was really active... A long time ago. I am glad to hear that won't be applicable anymore.

Well a D&D or Pathfinder role-playing game, perhaps also a World of Darkness role-playing game if I can find one. I was also interested in starting a Pathfinder campaign myself once I was comfortable on the forums again and I started getting to know/mingle with others.

That's because only I ran Role-playing Games here. I have only recently opened it up to everyone else with the creation of the Text Role-playing Game Creator. Glad I can relieve you of that stress.

There are various versions of D&D and Pathfinder available. Look at this Thread: How To Find The Role-playing Game That Fits Me?. The first part of that Thread gives you the links to the Create Character options.

For Pathfinder there is also one in the starting stages here: Arthos's Pathfinder Campaign Character Creation.

For setting up my own campaign later one, do I have to follow the character creation above by Arthos or can I have my own method for the roleplays I run?

For example, if I want stat rolls to be 4d6 reroll 1s and 2s once (Which is the method I have used in the past)... Can I do so, or is that too complex?

Another method I have considered is from the Way of the Wicked adventure path called Focus and Foible: Choose a Focus, an ability score at which you excel. You receive an 18 in that score. Choose a Foible, an ability score that is your weakness. You receive an 8 in that score. The other four, roll 1d10+7 four times in order. There are no rerolls, those are your other four scores.
