When everyone is ready Zork once again rides just in front the wagon with the ranger even further ahead. Zork watches the hawk and every direction.
In Character: Albrecht catches up to Zork to resume his marching order, but nothing much happens as he and Champ continue to keep an eye and ear out for any signs of trouble. The ranger finds a good place to rest next to a flowing stream. Albrecht takes this chance to refill his water skin and observe their progress. He grabs some dried meat from his pack that is seasoned, but isn't easy to eat. It is more to give him something to chew than to really be a meal. While chewing on this he looks around the group and makes small talk with some of them.
Out of Character: Has the terrain started to change significantly? We are headed towards some mountains, are they looming in the distance? The spot and listen checks are to keep wary of danger while we rest.
Krusten feeds her hawk. She also observes the covering of the war wagon. She looks to see if she can make that 3/4 covering that protects the driver also protects her. She checks to see if mounting an unused shield could serve as a place to fire from without being hit easily.
Avan finishes his waterskin, refilling from the stream. After doing a few recommended stretches from the book, he takes a jog, not straying further than 200 feet from the others. After taking a snack from his rations, he returns to the wagon and his book.
Faerydae, occupies her time with prayer, meditation and when given the chance she will throw in a few words about her deity. Being a small eater she takes a morsel of food and is content, thus not adding anything significant to her small frame.
Out of Character: Dungeon Master, not sure what you are waiting on but we are going forward and will probably do so until something significant happens. Krusten is probably alright with the way the wagon is now more so since we have nothing to enhance it.
Zork makes a sign to the wagon driver to go to the nearest patch of woods that is on a hill or slope and get ready to camp down the evening.
Arrangements are made to secure the horses, and make sure they are fed. Zork will do a perimeter check to make sure no one is lurking about. When he returns to the camp he will do the same and encourages the cutting of branches to create a solid roof against the wagon so its an extended camping area.
In Character: My idea with the branches was to create an extended roof. So one end would lean on the wagon and the other on the ground. Securing that in place could be done with vines or rope (If someone has).
