In Character: A bit disappointed that his plan did not work Zork decides to find out what Avan has in store. He will listen as he takes the forefront and follow along where needed.
Out of Character: Wherever Avan suggests Zork to go / do he will do that for now.
Avan wakes everybody up in the early hours of the pre-dawn. He asks Zork, Krusten and Faerydae to wear the disguises over their armor while he and Albrecht go to prepare spells.
Avan hands Fearydae his longbow and quiver, "It will look more convincing and in a bad situation, you may have to use it. We might need more than just healing this time."
He glances at Zork's equipment. The axe was passable and he adds, "Just say your bow broke if someone asks."
Avan and Albrecht relieve themselves of their armor and gear and leave it in the wagon. They take a rope to pretend to tie themselves to the back of the wagon and leave both animals inside, instructing them not to attack, but to find the druids if the door is opened.
Has Krusten learned to drive the wagon? If so, could the driver be inside with the ranger we hired along with the two animal companions? Otherwise we just pretend we're threatening the driver as he controls the wagon.
Taking one last moment to make sure there's nothing wrong with the picture, Avan instructs everyone forward into the cool dawn air, along the path to the fort.
Out of Character: No Krusten does not know how to drive the wagon. She never said anything about learning to drive the wagon. You will have to use the driver.
I will also need to know what you are planning to do. Are you just going to move the wagon up to the drawbridge or going to stop before you are fully exposed?
Out of Character: Krusten did say she was going to observe what the driver did so in case he was killed she could take over, but she didn't actually request lessons. She's an awesome archer not a teamster.
The driver will be at the front then, with the three others inside the wagon. Zork is riding his own horse.
We will ride up to 50 feet from the drawbridge unless it's obvious we are being threatened or told to stop.
Avan will be looking at the mountains on either side to see if they are climbable, and it that's a good route into the fort.
Out of Character: Will the other characters participate in the fight with us? Are they reducing the wagon's speed by weighing it down?
Zork shouts out, "Retreat!" looks at Avan as though he fired the missile and then tries to help the driver get the war wagon turned around by getting the horses at the front to turn with his lead.
