Zork orders, "Backup, backup!" He then uses himself as a diversion and starts zigzagging in front of the war wagon to draw fire on him instead of the wagon.
Krusten says, "To hell with that… " and then starts moving down the hill trying to assist the movement of the wagon by giving directions to the driver.
Out of Character: Can I get an arrow to reach any target there or is it too far away?
"By the gods!" Avan exclaims. Looking at Zork he excuses himself "I didn't expect that!"
Pretty sure they won't hit anything from a mile and a half away, tells everyone to save their spells for later. He tries to pull or push the wagon, to help the horses reverse.
Faerydae prays to her deity that all will go well and the wagon will be moved down to the flat safely. Showing faith in this she stays in the wagon meditating.
Out of Character: Actually, not casting spells seems a bit unreasonable.
If, and only if, the second ballista bolt hits closer and the wagon hasn't made it halfway back to the treeline, then Avan will pop an Obscuring Mist. He continues to push or pull the wagon backwards.
In Character: Zork, glad to have made it out of that in one peace says to the driver, "We are leaving this place, we do not have the means to get into such a place, we will explore elsewhere. Backup the wagon and turn it around when you can."
Zork says to the group, "We need to look for something else that is within our means, I say we head back to the main road and keep on it."
Krusten comments, "I wonder if this wagon is doing us more harm than good?" She is tired and insists on a camp before continuing. Krusten sets some traps around the camp.
Zork agrees with the camp using the same procedure of making it look like it was raided and helping Krusten with the traps. Somehow he feels like they're being watched and makes some general rounds looking for any signs of people moving before settling in the camp.
