Krusten prepares herself for the night keeping her horse close by and positioning herself on a slope if there is any around. In the morning early she will resume her travel.
Out of Character: including rolls for when we get up again.
Out of Character: By your last post I do not know if we are moving forward to the morning or preparing for camp but I will take Krusten's lead.
In Character: Zork also remembers the benefit of camping on an incline and looks for one. He sets up traps around to protect the camp and prepares for tomorrow to continue the journey.
Undecided about the role she should play, Faerydae decides to take up a secondary role when it comes to combat only firing her bow at those who are hurting her companions but never attacking first. Her first encounter with the goblin had made her hope that she could be diplomatic but she has seen where this is not possible. She gets herself ready for the evening taking up watch at any time of the party's choosing.
Avan comments that fewer trees will mean less cover for the party, but also for anyone - or anything - approaching. We should also be careful of things hiding around bends and behind hills and cliffs.
Albrecht heeds Avan's warning, and keeps a vigilant eye out for any marauders or highwaymen. Being at the back of the pack, he is mostly watching around behind, while Champ keeps his eyes forward to make sure they are following the group and watch for any danger that way.
Out of Character: If the mountain cannot be reached even by night then Krusten dismounts and prepares for the night staying far from the main road and keeping the reigns of her horse tied to her so it does not dart off. She will try to get some rest for the night until the morning.
Zork also thinks the same way as Krusten. If camping in the open can be avoided he rather press for the mountains, if not he will look for at least a slope to comp on. No fire!
