Aliana nods at this. " You are probably right Lukas. East we go then. " She takes the fork to the right with Lukas. She tries to stay out of the middle of the road. She walks along the edge of the trees or any other cover she sees. Aliana is constantly scanning for any sign of activity. She loosens the short swords up in their scabbards to be ready quickly if needed.
Faerydae offers praises to her deity for restoring her to life. She promises to rely more on his great power the next time the enemy should show itself.
Agreeing that the edge of the forest is best, Faerydae prepares herself for the night and offers the first watch.
Avan agrees, looking for a nearby hill that maybe has a cliff face or steep slope facing the forest - so any attackers from that direction would be slowed. He takes last watch and prepares his usual spells befor dawn.
Agreeing with the rest of the party, Zork seeks a strategic position preferably on an incline and sets to make a perimeter of noise traps around the camp. He will conduct a watch after Faerydae.
Aliana motions to Lukas to stop. " There is something moving up ahead. It could be what we are looking for. I am much better at sneaking around than you are. Wait here. I will sneak closer to see what it is. In the event I'm spotted and they pursue me I will call out. If I call out Lucas, come help me. It's not too dangerous. If you hear run then hopefully we see each other again back down the road. She begins working her way slowly and cautiously closer to see what is ahead.
"Best rest I had in awhile… thankfully nothing attacked us… " says Zork happy to be heading south again.
Out of Character: Zork will ride hard until the horse needs rest and then camp in a similar way on an incline with traps set.
In Character: These were the moments… the lull in activity, where Krusten wished she could use some kind of portal to get from one place to the next. Her itchy bow finger could not relax despite needing it. She packs up and moves out.
