Krusten sees Zork go to one exit so she decides to try the next but first only peeking around the corner as well. If she sees the mage she will call over Zork with hand signals.
Out of Character: Are the rest of my last rolls good still?
In Character: Ildrahil thinks to himself, "Uncle always told me to be careful of and around people that understand the arcane. What did he say, hands, their hands can be as dangerous as their mouths. Don't let them make signs or draw sigils… whatever they are." Ildrahil uses the ropes that were very recently around him to bind the mage. He sticks a gag in the mage's mouth and takes special pains to bind the mage's hands so he can't make any signs with his fingers.
After that, Ildrahil will de an assessment of his and the mage's wounds.
Then Ildrahil will do a proper search of the chamber.
Avan gets up, startled. "Not again," He says. "That's becoming a habit, I'll have to protect myself better. Oh, no, Mr Fluffles too."
"Where did that pesky magician go?" He doesn't wait to be fully healed, but begins exploring, going to the exit in the left wall.
For a statue, the figure Zork spotted in the corner is extraordinarily elaborate. Heavy metal plating covers nearly all of it, with thin etchings carved into most of the surface, whorling knotlike patterns. The metal itself appears to be a deep purple color, and is definitely not steel.
Under the metal, the bulk of the statue appears to be a dark brown wood, seen in between the few cracks of the figure's armor and on the bulk of the head. The head is shaped much like that of a bald human, with a face made of an oddly soft looking tan material, almost like well preserved hide. The eyes are closed, and its features slack.
For some reason, the statue is not standing on its own. Thin metal wires are securing it to a strong wooden frame. Supported by the frame, it is rigidly upright, with one outstretched hand holding a large axehead with a long haft in a slanting position. If it is messed with, it becomes apparent that the joints can move somewhat within the confines of the bonds. Edited: daishain on 18th Feb, 2017 - 6:39am
"Why would one put armor on a statue?" Avan asks. "Perhaps it's a display piece, or perhaps magical."
He decides to cast Detect Magic on the 'statue'.
Out of Character: Avan only has a knowledge of nature, so probably sees this thing as something alien and unnatural - in the came category as metal armors and brick cities.
