Can a teenage girl know who she wants to marry in three weeks? What do you think? Is this madness?

QUOTE
He cheated on her and now he wants to marry her? He's just playing around because maybe she didn't want to forgive him for what he did and then the nice idea of the 'ring' came to his mind.

I would have to agree with LDS on this. If he just cheated on her and then now he wants to marry. UUUGGGHH! What a jerk If she marries him after he just cheated on her then she wont be happy because it will happen again and again. The three weeks isn't even a matter if he just cheated. In my opinion there is no relationship if there is a cheater between the two.

Marriage Weeks Three

I knew after three weeks that I wanted to spend my life with him. Come on. We've all heard, "I knew I wanted to marry her as soon as I saw her." and "I knew he was the one I would spend the rest of my life with!" at one time or another. To me, something just clicked.

Now, I very well may not marry this man. We've been together for over a year, but I'm wise enough to know that everything changes, - atmosphere, people - and that that everything can make or break your "forever."

I didn't run around proclaiming my love after three weeks. We didn't get engaged...We aren't engaged now. So if it fails, it fails.

Long story short!

I think it's perfectly normal to know he or she is "The One" after such a short period of time, but I don't think it's perfectly normal to act on your feelings so spontaneously.

Three Weeks to Marriage Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

I think it is possible to know who you want to marry at such a young age-I got engaged at 17 myself, my husband was 19, but we waited until I was 18 to get married-but we got married just a few months shy of knowing each other for 2 years, and dating for one of those years. However, while after a few weeks of dating I had a feeling I wanted to marry him, it wasn't official until four months later. My brother got married after only knowing his wife for three weeks and they have a very rocky road ahead of them. They were married for less then a month before some issues came up because they hadn't waited. This is a life-changing decision and should be thought about carefully.

Heh I have a friend who dated a guy for about...6-8 months but broke up with him and 3 weeks later shes engaged to a different guy. When I first heard she was engaged I thought it was to the first guy! I was soo suprised when I heard about the second, it just came outta nowhere. I dunno how you could love someone that fast. In your friends situation, if I got cheated on it'd be over. That'd be the end, no more, no relationship. I will have to confess to having girls cheat on their boyfriends with me but I always felt really bad after and no good came from it. Luckily I've never cheated on any of my girlfriends and I plan on keeping it that way. Your friend should be through with that guy, move on to someone knew, there is always several people out there that you are compatable with.
