"I am not able to lend you may guards. I may need them yet as I keep off the roads and in hiding. As far as quick and light or well armored I would pick well armored as other lightly armored and quick persons never made it. The council mans guard employ a wide range of weapons from bow and cross bows to swords, hammers, maces and pole arms."
"Thank you, my lady," Durgan bows deeply before going to make preparations. Sessativa curtsies and follows his lead.
To Zork he says, "Are we leaving tomorrow morning? I don't think we have much light left today. Or perhaps you'd prefer to ride at night?"
In Character: "Tomorrow is good unless there is something urgent. We could prepare better I think. We will leave from my fort?"
Lady Estari has a letter written for you by the morning. She tells you that the earls stronghold is north and east of town about three days. The main north road leads towards the strong hold and a well marked intersection heads east to the stronghold off the main road.
The next morning Durgan actually want to test out some of this magical gear that may be risky. He asks Zork if it would be okay to test the Key of Servitude on some of the guards in the fort?
He prepares healing spells and casts an Aid spell on Sessativa to give her temporary hit points, then she tries on the Robe of the Archmagi.
I need to know where Durgan is at when using the key of servitude. In a room as in type of room in what kind of building, or out in the open where at describe your surroundings.
I will need sessativas alignment, I will need to know what other magical items she is wearing.
Durgan would wait until Sessativa is done testing the robe before chacking the key. She is neutral good and would be wearing her ring of featherfall, ring of protection +3, Bracers of Defense, and Helm of Teleportation.
If everything goes well, Durgan picks a volunteer from the guards, brings him outside the fort and around the back and explains he's testing a potential non-lethal weapon. Ensuring no guards on the walls are watching, he tries to activate the key, pointing it at the guard.
