Out of Character: I considered letting Caelum see it, but decided not at that distance, without a spyglass. Truth be told, Pathfinder's perception mechanics are extremely limited, even with the terrain rules considered.
It's okay Aericsteele, things come up. I just wanted your permission.
In Character: The wyvern looks towards the fort. Seeing nothing inside except for the travellers entering, it decides to stretch its wings and fly over for a snack.
As it flies into 400 foot range, it didn't expect all the soldiers in the fort, ready to defend. Four ballista bolts fly out at the target as fifteen archers ready their arrows. One bolt hits it square in the chest, the others miss or glance off its hide (11 damage). It flaps its wings rapidly to maintain its path, diving towards the fort as it roars in rage.
Roll initiative!
Archival watches as the wyvern flies closer. When it becomes apparent that the wyvern is on a collision course with the fort and its forces, he glances at Caelum, "I will see you later, my friend," He states. Caelum nods and vanishes, returning to his realm and freeing up Archival's abilities.
Archival stretches his arms and grins, preparing himself for the fight to come. "A wyvern so soon in our travels, eh? May we be as successful as Sarenrae the Dawnflower, as is described in her book The Birth of Light and Truth."
Out of Character: With their travel for the day over, Archival will summon up to his full capability (10 summons). Each summon will be a Celestial Eagle unless the wyvern is grounded, in which case Archival might switch his tactics. All of his summons will have the Diehard feat due to Archival's Summon Good Monster feat and a +1 morale bonus to Will because of his Natural-Born Leader social trait. Each of his summons will last for one minute.

Smite Evil 1/day - As a swift action (Adds [Charisma] bonus (+0) to attack rolls and damage bonus equal to HD (+1) against evil foes; smite persists until target is dead or the celestial creature rests). Edited: Diarmadhim on 7th Jul, 2015 - 7:48pm
Mykael produces his short bow, knocks and arrow and looks for the closest cover then lines up a shot and takes it as soon as the creature gets within range.
The eagles begin flying to the target as the fourth one appears and a hail of arrows assault the monster. One eagle scratches the target (2 damage) as three soldiers manage to get good hits, injuring the Wyvern badly (14 damage) and a ballista bolt strikes it right in the head (25 damage)! Despite the terrible injuries, it keeps flying but it banks to the left flying parallel to the wall, now 140 feet away.
Mykael will continue to fire arrows at the beast so long as it remains air born, but if it lands he will sling the bow on his back draw his sword and ready his shield then attack with his blade.
Out of Character: I will roll a couple of ranged attacks and a couple of melee attacks depending on how the situation plays out.
One arrow (1 damage) and one bolt (14 damage) strike hard at the Wyvern, the eagles being a nuisance to both the enemy (4 damage) and the allied archers, who take care to avoid shooting the eagles. They Wyvern completes its wide arc and attempts to fly away from the fight.
Many arrows miss it as it retreats but one arrow and a ballista bolt manage to bring it down, the eagles trailing the body as it falls fifty feet and lands with a loud crash on the opposite side of the river. The eagles begin to claw and tear at the carcass, as the troops cheer in victory! The captain of the fort begins to organize a few rafts to retrieve the body. He doesn't comment as he walks past you both.
The sun is low in the sky and Vekkel suggests resting here as he breathes heavily to still his rapidly beating heart. He mentions that nothing this exciting has happened on this route before. Usually it's just bandits that he's had to deal with.
Out of Character: Even after splitting the experience among so many troops, that's 120 XP for each of you.
Archival nods in agreement with Vekkel. “That was some fine shooting Mykael. Especially for one who favors the sword.”
Out of Character: The archers were having to be careful? I assumed they would have Precise Shot, which would negate the negative my eagles gave them My mistake!
