Delgar studies the area for a bit and, based on his Spell Craft knowledge, determines that Drethen is under the effects of a Wyvern Watch spell. If the party waits a couple of minutes, the effects will wear off and Drethen should be free of his paralysis.
The odd thing that Delgar notes, is that a Wyvern Watch is usually used when there are resources to check on whoever gets trapped by it. Delgar would expect that the party should be getting attacked/greeted/investigated by whoever or whatever lives in the caves. But, it seems to be quiet.
Out of Character: What did Hunter see west?
In Character: When Drethen comes to Hunter says, "Welcome back, you're lucky whomever set that spell is no longer here or we would of had to decide who would take your equipment." Hunter grins at his unsympathetic dark humor.
Looking to the west, Hunter can see that the corridor ends in a large room. He can see the flickers of a light source and humanoid shadows, but that's about all he can distinguish.
Out of Character: Thanks but I actually meant to ask what he saw east because I think you missed my post about that with all the player chatter.
In Character: Jonathon would decide to take the lead stepping forward before calling out into the cave and flickering light source in the distance "Hello, anything here? It said all humanoids were welcome, and it was thought perhaps we may parley."
Out of Character: : I thought the map was pretty self-explanatory. To the east you see the corridor end in a 'T' intersection.
In Character: : Jonathon calls out and the party hears some grunting and shuffling. A moment later three large humanoids appear in the door to the room. They're hairy, and have yellowish skin that is largely covered by yellow-brown fur. Their teeth are those of a carnivore, great fangs and incisors that the thick lips cannot wholly cover. Their eyes are an unsettling greenish-white, with red pupils. Great wedge-shaped ears stand out on either side of their heads, rotating independently as they catch a noise.
Making no sudden moves, they appear in the doorway, standing a full seven feet high. Holding both hands out to you, empty and with the palms facing you, the apparent leader of the three steps forward carefully saying ''Kakkatok? Kakkatok?" in an inquiring tone of voice.
The creatures look bigger and tougher than the Hobgoblins from one of the previous caves. Jess and Hunter can roughly translate what he's saying to be, "Parley?"

Ardo gentley puts his Warhammer and shield on the ground and holds his hand out in front of him. "Jess, tell them yes we would like to parley and we can sit down here and discuss it with them if they are agreeable" Ardo then says to Jonathan "You are better at speaking than me so maybe you should be telling Jess what to say." Once Jess says the opening greeting Ardo takes a seat on the ground to show he is not wanting any violence.
