The Dawn Seeker says... Gabriel will try attacking again, looking first o the morningstar in his hand and muttering, "Really, you couldn't offer more?" Actually, given how long it had been he even wonders if the weapon is even awake or is inactive. At the time, he had felt it must have been special but now he wasn't so sure.
Out of Character: : A magical, intelligent, morningstar didn't manage to hit the creature?

The Watcher from the Aether says... The party presses the attack. Hunter pulls out his sword and cuts a gash in the creature's side. A green ooze begins running out of the wound. The creature reels in pain causing Ardo's mace to miss its mark.
The creature retaliates at Hunter, but Hunter is too swift and dodges the attack. Gabriel swings his morningstar which also misses, but he once again gives Drethen the opening he needs to land the killing blow on the monster.
With the creature now laying lifeless on the floor, the party quickly takes in the view of the room.
The body laying on the table appears drained of blood. The crown of its head has been cut away and the brain appears to be missing.
In the corner of the room is a pile of clothes and other personal items. The pile is quite large and, from the looks of it, seems to be from close to 100 victims, or so.

Elf Bowman says..."This place is horrendous and so is that creature!" says Hunter with disgust. Hunter tries to ascertain the kind of clothes being warn - was it humanoid, possibly past adventurers? He makes a more careful search of the room and then leaves for another if nothing can be found.

The Arcane says...While the group searches the room Ardo will heal his wounds with a spell and mutters. "Still do not like this place at all."

The Watcher from the Aether says... The room contains a large amount of lab equipment. A mage might be able to identify most of it and be able to determine that some of it could be used to brew potions.
As for the pile of clothes, there are about a hundred different sets that you can make out in a variety of types and styles. There are also a few suits of armor and equipment that appears to be used by adventuring parties.
The only thing of note that is found is about 900 gp of valuables as well as a shield and a sword that appear to be of exceptional value.
