Deciding to take the lead again, Gabriel offer a deep and respectful bow before saying, "Your Eminence, we thank you in giving us audience. I shall admit, we are not from here but from a land far distant. We are on a quest of sorts, in search of certain items which might be the key in getting us home. Only one of which we now have." The paladin again hopes his honesty is not misplaced, but he had to assume as the bishop and highest religious leader of the land the older man before him had ways of sensing lies or deception.

Hunter looks over at Gabriel with a slight smirk on his face then back at the Bishop to see how he is buying his talk but as for himself he says nothing, at least for now.
Ardo and Drethen: The town crier's face darkens into a scowl, "Why would anybody be interested in any 'items of power' let alone collect them? They can only be cursed and lead to your doom. But tell me, what other 'items of power' have you collected?!?"
There don't appear to be any other people within ear shot of your conversation.
Gabriel and Hunter: Gabriel delivers his query to the Bishop. Once he's done, Hunter thinks he glimpses a quick look of relief before the Bishop's visage darkens. He leans forward on his desk and stands slightly from his chair and says, "You would come in here and waste my time?!? I was told that you had something to show me, but instead you ask me about trinkets?!?" The more the Bishop talks, the more upset he appears to get. "Explain yourselves before I call the authorities!"
Hunter shakes his head knowing that Gabriel's unenthusiastic plea would not have gotten them audience with the Bishop in the first place so he leans forward, "That's him… I was the one with something to show… "
Hunter pulls out his sword in a nonthreatening way. "I know you can feel what this sword is made of… right? Do you want to know more?"
Drethen steps towards the crier. "We are collecting these items so that they stay out of the hands of those who do not understand their powers and therefore not use them for ill purposes. You assistance can be helpful and thus your name will be added as one that helped protect the people from dangerous items. This will help your fame and your reputation with the people."
Seeing Drethen talk to the Town crier Ardo steps back and waits to see how the conversation continues.

Gabriel and Hunter: As Hunter speaks up, the Bishop appears to back off a little. As he pulls out the sword (I'm presuming it's the Sword of Syliare?) the Bishop furrows his brow a bit but still appears to be steaming from anger. "What makes you think that I can sense anything about a sword?!?"
Ardo and Drethen: "So, you admit to dealing in these items?" the crier asks as he begins looking around the area, presumably for the city guard.
