After receiving your reward, you quickly head out of town, back into the country side.
You feel like you received a side-long glance or two, but that could just be your paranoia getting the better of you.
Out of Character: Experience for each of you is: 10,250
Gold is: 2,500 since the only cash you picked up is the 10,000 gp from killing the colossus.
Hunter comments, "I've accumulated a lot of gold but in this place there is nothing worthy to buy. By the way, did you notice a couple of folk were looking at us on the left? We might be followed."
While leaving Hunter will gradually merge to the woods and wait to see if the party is being followed before continuing. He informs the party of his plan.
"Always best to be careful with such things," Gabriel agrees when it comes to making sure they were not being follow. The side long glances though he had personally brushed aside. If they were to be arrested for anything the Paladin believed it would have already taken place.
"Yes, we are now close to hopefully getting back to where we belong. Before we try to solve the riddle I will need a day to prepare spells. I am going to stock up on some goodberries and maybe find a nice pasture to let the horse go in so he can be free and not become some old plow horse."
As Hunter keeps an eye on the way the came, he notices odd movement here and there. Nothing he can put his finger on but the kind of thing where some tall grass appears to be moving against the wind or a shadow from behind a tree appears longer or wider than it should.
Given that it's been about six days since the party got to Vyones it's entirely plausible that news from Ximes has reached the town and that the party could have picked up a tail.
Hunter rejoins the party and tells them what he sees. He suggests that Ardo uses some sort of detect magic trap if he can. He does not know much about magic and therefore cannot know if it is possible but he suggests it. He also suggests creating a diversion or pretending to split up to see if they can see who is following them.
