Avan moves to help bandage Krusten's injuries, letting Faerydae take the main healer's role. While he does so, he glances at Krusten's new bow, inspecting its make and features, but unable to discern anything magical since he's not divining its magical properties.
"Most impressive," he commends, though it is ambiguous whether it was about the bow or the shooting. "I wouldn't want to stifle your ability to shoot, but your injuries could probably have been avoided if you were in the back of the wagon with us."
Krusten thanks Avan for his help as it almost restores her to whole. Observing him looking at her bow she says, "Yes, its something not of this world. I used a special gem and was granted this and I'm not letting it go."
Concerning his comments about being in the wagon she replies, "The wagon stifles and you lose the initiative as you can only see one angle at a time."
Specific Action: Krusten retrieves all her arrows not wanting to lose any. She allows the ranger to have her portion of the finding but also comments, "Anything extra can be stored in the wagon."
Seeing Avan do most of the work Faerydae is happy to heal the remaining wound with her cure minor wound spell - she touches her gently. "There you are Krusten, you're whole again."
Albrecht gathers the bows, arrows, falchions, and coins of the orc party into a small pile in the middle of the road. Hearing the ranger mention that they were probably a hunting party, Albrecht relaxes, glad that they aren't likely to run into more any time soon. He then begins the arduous task of rolling the bodies out of the middle of the road and onto the side closest to where each fell. Completing this task, he gathers armfuls of leaves to scatter over each body mumbling a prayer that their bodies return to the earth for the benefit of the next cycle. Finally he returns to the party asking for help loading the pilfered goods into the wagon to sell or use as needed.
Out of Character: Remember that the healing skill does not heal a person of injuries but is a skill check to help in the aid of a person who has injuries for them to heal over time. Like in wound care to make sure it is properly dressed and attended to so the wound stays clean and does not get infected. SO his roll of 6 was not very good as most DC is 10+. (Thus he rolled a 1 since he has a +5).
In Character Arkanoth moves to the back of the wagon and climbs back in. He looks at one of the bows, "I've never tried my hand at one of these things" He will pick it up and using his knowledge from watching the others, will try to fire some arrows out of the back before putting it back with the rest of them. "It might be a little bit big for me, maybe something smaller would suit me better." He sits down, "Im ready to go when everyone else is"
Out of Character: My fault, I was seeing Avan's heal as a cure light wounds spell so please retract my last action and instead Faerydae cast a cure light wounds spell.
Out of Character: I should have mentioned that my intent was overnight care, and that I wouldn't be reading the book since I would be preoccupied. But with Faerydae's roll, I believe Krusten doesn't even have a scratch, so I can read instead. Lucky that my natural 1 didn't make the wounds worse.
In Character: Replying to Krusten, Avan says, "I can't promise we will always be there to help, especially if the group gets separated. A lucky marksman may also injure you more gravely. But I will not stop you."
Watching Albrechts rites, Avan adds flatly, "Or returned to the stomachs of the next animal to cross here."
Avan takes a few of the orcish arrows to replenish his stock but nothing else unless the money is split now.
Looking at Arkanoth's test shots Avan agrees, "The longbow is a military weapon and you would need specialist training. Or magical bracers." Avan does jazz hands, showing off the leather wrapped around his wrists and forearms, inscribed with flowing runes. "I would start you on a shortbow, since you seem uncomfortable with this one, but not entirely incompetent."
Avan hops back into the wagon, book opened on his lap, ready to continue.
