Out of Character: Looking at the map what is that thing like a snake on the floor?
In Character: Hunter with hoodie and robes on backs himself against the wall's edge and uses his vision to see what's around the corner. If nothing unusual he will go to the door and try to listen.
Out of Character: : The squiggly line indicates a tapestry covering the walls the the following room:
This huge room—the largest you've seen in the entire complex of caves—is clearly a temple. Above a floor of polished black stone with disturbing red swirls, dull black walls rise five or six times the height of a man to an arched ceiling of the same dead black material. Only the west wall is different: a mass of polished red rock that throws back light like a bloody mirror. Near the red wall stand three altars: the one of the left of polished black stone, the one on the right of polished red stone, and the central one (The largest) of red and black streaked stone. Behind these, a raised dais holds a double throne. The back of each throne is decorated with a mosaic: one of a beautiful queenly woman in black, the other of a handsome and kingly warrior in red. Red candles burn in wall sconces along the north and south. Finally, a great bell of black iron stands to the left of the entrance, flanked on one side by a skeleton in black and on the other by a zombie in red, each holding a mallet.
This beautiful but unsettling place of worship has a congregation: thirty skeletons and thirty zombies, dressed in black and in red robes, respectively, sit patiently on pews facing the thrones and altars.
They seem to ignore your arrival.
Hunter gulps at the sight and returns to tell the others the fright he just saw. He says, "Maybe we should check this door first." He goes over to have a listen.
Hearing Hunters words, his hand grip the handle of his long sword and he takes hold of his shield. The young paladin was a little worried, as while he would fight courageously he wondered if they'd all be able to fight this congregation of the dead.
Nodding his head in agreement, but I felt it possible that they would need to enter the room at some point, the paladin says, "Yes let's try the other door, at least for now. I do believe though at some point we will need to fight or at least enter the temple."

"Yes Gabriel, that congregation of undead does not bode well for us. For a priest to be able to control that many undead they will have to be powerful. I pray this day that Bleredd will guide all our strikes true to the foe for this day we might need divine intervention to see the sun rise tomorrow." Ardo gazes at the host of undead wondering if truly this group was up to the task of defeating a horde that large.
After checking the door and again not finding anything of concern, the party opens the door to find a large room with several captives chained in various parts of the room.
Most of them appear to be common folk, either abducted from around the keep or unsuspecting travelers on the road.
One captive, with what appears to be a chain around his ankle that is long enough to give him access to most of the room, is tending to what appears to be one of the newest captives. The man is bent over the unconscious form of a halfling and appears to be tending to a large bump on the halfling's head.
In addition to the eight or nine captives, there are three zombies and three skeletons, each dressed the same as the ones in the temple area, outside.
They're lifeless at first, but after the captives notice you and start calling out for help, they animate and start heading your way.
At the same time, the halfing seems to regain consciousness (Davik) but is currently bound by a chain.

Out of Character: : Sorry, you have only the clothes on your back. You don't think a professional slaver is going to leave you with all of your equipment, do you? :).
