Excommunicated Members - Page 5

I think he must have done something else than just refused stopping the publication of his book...personally I don't believe any leader in the Church told his wife to divorce him or 'disassociate' from him what I think it may happen is they told her to 'disassociate' in any way from the book itself. But of course, who am I to say this, all these are assumptions. I researched more about him and it seems like he had a step-daughter who run away from home  because he was very verbally abusive, the Church intervened in the matter but the charges were dropped. So like I said before, it must be more stuff than just the book....
But I do feel that the Church do not want to talk about Plurality of Wives in the sense of researching about it deeply rather than just sticking on the fact that was a commandment of God, using journals and stuff....
Going back to the subject, al members who are excommunicated have the right to appeal up to the First Presidency, I know LeGrande didn't...and so many others have not, even though they feel very sad about losing their membership. I don't know, if I am in the same situation and I think an injustice is being made to me, I will appeal up to the First Presidency!!! I will ask for a real reason...in other words...'I will make noise'. I will not leave the matter just like that.

I think I agree with you here.  I was just reporting what he had to say about it.  But it could easily be an attempt to justify himself.

Going back to Nighthawk's mentioning the German youth who was excommunicated for opposing the nazi party, there is a film now about this. Has anybody seen it?

Also, JB you mentioned Elder Dunn was disfellowhipped. Are you referring to Paul Dunn? I had always wondered if any action was taken against him but bever heard. And if he was, had he been restored to full active status before he died?

Gaucho it was Paul H. Dunn and I believe whatever course of action was taken against him is now over with and he found himself in full fellowship with the Saints.

Yes, I read several General Authorities were in his funeral. Although it seems like his disfellowshipping from the Church was kept very confidential.
