PLAYER'S MANUAL

Chapter: 1 Foreword, Pg: 2.1 of 4

The above map shows your home world simply known as "Medieval". The land is fairly parched which makes the growing, gathering, hunting and forging of food a task at times. Such difficulty in acquiring the basic necessities of life keeps the cost of goods high. People believe the lack of significant rain is a curse implemented by the angry gods because of so much bloodshed.

Are There Other Races?

There are ten (10) unique Races of which your Character can choose one of them. Wars are plentiful with the Elves, Goblins and Orcs to the far West and the Dwarves and other kingdoms to the far East. While each racial group may fight each other this is not so common because of civil war amongst themselves. This infighting acts as a stabilizer to prevent one kingdom from out rightly attacking another. For example, the Elves and Orcs in open war. The nearby surroundings have 'friendly' cities, towns and villages created by Man. The Dark Regions carry a level of mysticism about it that is generally avoided by Man. The North and South is mostly wasteland or the coastline. These areas are not significant for you at this time.

What's My Character's Location?

Your home town is the center red dot in the middle of the map, it is known as the "Town". The town itself is large and has every trade and type of commerce you can imagine but lacks a fort or castle at its center. Its main defense is outlying forts, watch towers and its own town guard. When it was built there were no wars as there is now and planning did not take into account the possibility of an attack. When you were born you lived in a fairly forested area removed from the Town. This enabled you to grow up with a keen sense of nature and your surroundings but you are still naive to the wider world around you.

Some Background Information

Depending on the choices you make for your Character the story can and will change. At times the content may become creepy, horrifying or grotesque like reading a horror novel. If you are faint of heart then you may not wish to continue. If you are able to separate reality from fiction and see it as just that - medieval fantasy and nothing more then please continue.

The Community Connection?

This Text RPG, just like the other RPGs in this Community, is still governed by the Constructive Posting Policy and Rules you agreed to before Registering. You may wonder why this has any bearing here, well again... this is a Text RPG within the International Discussions Community making ROK II part of the whole (they cannot be separated). Therefore, if you unsubscribe from the Community, for example via the Newsletters, then you are also deleting your Character since it is associated with your Membership.

Can Others See My Character?

At some point, you will need to describe your Character or a situation so your writings will be placed in the Text MMORPG Board under a specific Thread designated for your Character.

Of course everything here is copyrighted. Please do not copy and re-post anywhere for any reason as doing so infringes on the rights of the owners of this site. It is also in bad taste as you would be giving away the story to new Players looking for something new or trying to solve a current situation. Therefore, do not use Threads to place tips, try to prompt decisions as to what happens and so forth in the game. Players that purposely do this will be banned from ROK II. This is not the same asking questions about game mechanics, reporting bugs, helping us promote ROK II or talking about the accomplishments of your Character- by all means share your victories.
