Artemis is of slight build, and relentlessly cheerful. She has short red hair, and dresses modestly.
(Usually in her pilot jumpsuit, sometimes wears her bomber jacket over it) She walks with slight limp, and it embarrasses her when people mention it.

Under the jumpsuit, she has wicked scar that runs from just above her right hipbone to just below her right knee.

Artemis grew up on farm that was raided by human smugglers, was abducted and was rescued by space marines. Since that time she has always felt great debt towards the military. As soon as she was old enough, she enlisted in the navy, where she was trained as pilot and learned to gamble. She served one term of service and was discharged as result of training accident that has permanently affected her health.
Although her plan of becoming dreaded pirate hunter didn' work out, Artemis still bears grudge against smugglers that prey on the weak, and still feels debt to the marines that saved her.

Artemis has lovely smile, but no psionic abilities.

Artemis might still have some friends in the navy, but she's not in contact with any of them currently.

Her only companion is her pain.
